I still vividly remember the day when the compute standing on the desk in front of us,which was a heavy and plastic-covered one. What afflicted us was we were not supposed to be a particular programmer but had to master the specific command to wield the compute for its DOS system. So i had no interest in having one and facing the full-dark screen.
When the windows system came to us, we were told to learn and use for mostly file edition and keeping. Nothing really tied us closely, we could take apart when we wanted to.
The shining point was Internet coming which breathed new life into computer industry
